24 Oct ievo Replaces Leading Biometric Competitor at a Manchester Kids Allowed Site
ievo Ltd in association with ACC Security Solutions in Cheshire has successfully installed their multi-spectral fingerprint reader at Kids Allowed childcare centre in Manchester. Registering over 500 staff and parents at the venue, the reader ensures child safety regulations established by Ofsted are met.
This coupled with ievo ultimate vandal and spoof resistant biometric reader ensures that children and staff at the facility are fully protected. Two readers were used to secure door access to the children’s area. This coincides with Kids Allowed priding themselves in listening to parents in order to cater for their needs plus continuously meeting Ofsted’s regulations. Kids Allowed have been awarded an outstanding merit for 2008-09.
The existing biometric system at Kids Allowed was too problematic which was installed by a leading competitor. ievo Ltd replaced the system because of three major factors; it could not penetrate through substances such as creams, oils and latex gloves, it was extremely difficult to train parents and finally, the capacity did not hold the number of prints they needed registering. ievo Ltd was able to overcome each of these problems.
Simon Farmer managing director at ACC Security Solutions said that “A lot of criticism surrounded installing another fingerprint reader because of the existing system in place at Kids Allowed. Therefore, I conducted a short test run of the ievo reader to the parents and staff. ievo came back with a 100% success rate. Everyone at Kids allowed was really happy with it”
