Notice of Discontinued Order Codes

 

Due to the retirement of components used in the manufacture of REV3, we have made the decision to offer REV3 products as revised variants. These changes will take place from the 28/12/18.

To ease the transition, order codes will be changed as shown in the table below. For more information please contact your account manager.

The revised variants offer the following advantages:

 

  • POE optional
  • Easier installation
  • Serviceable parts
  • 2 Year warranty

The last time you can order using the discontinued order codes is 17/12/2018 (subject to stock availability).

Support for Microsoft Windows Vista has ended

 

As of April 11, 2017 Microsoft ceased support for Windows Vista and therefore machines running Windows Vista will no longer receive security or technical updates.

Following this, as of 29th November 2018, ievo has now ceased support for all systems running Windows Vista.

Software discs no longer being shipped with products

 

Please note that as of 1st January 2019, Software Discs will no longer be supplied with product shipments.

All required software for installation of ievo products will be available for download from the ievo website support section instead, where you can be assured you are downloading the most up to date software.

New ievo Desktop Registration Unit Drivers

 

We have updated our software drivers for the ievo range of desktop registration units.
The update now consists of a digital signature allowing Windows to verify the authenticity of the software making installation simpler and more user-friendly.

 

No action is required for existing installations but for future installations, you can now install the drivers for the Black, Silver and Micro registration units by running a single setup file dependent upon your operating system (32bit or 64bit).

Customers and clients operating the Blue ievo registration unit will require a different driver as it uses a streaming service (which has also been updated with a digital signature), this driver can be found here: https://ievoreader.com/download/25199/

ievo Network Tool Update V2.3

 

Our latest network tool allows for you to connect and make changes to both REV3 and REV4 (Firmware 0.4.1 and above) control boards.

 

Version 2.3 of the ievo Network Tool is now available in all our software downloads.

Paxton release Net2 Version 5.03.5214.4513.

 

Paxton have released (15/12/2016) Net2 Version 5.03.5214.4513 (Service Release 6) which includes the following fixes:

 

  • Fixed – An existing ievo fingerprint will be deleted if you click ”No” when print already assigned message displayed.
  • Fixed – iEvo – Fingerprints not going past the enrol reader (Error -102)

Paxton have released (10/10/2016) Net2 Version 5.03.4928.5995 which includes the following fixes:

 

  • Fixed – Adding fingerprint via Net2 doesn’t send to other ievo readers.
  • Fixed – Adding the same fingerprint multiple times creates more templates.
  • Fixed – Unable to add new fingerprints via Net2.
  • Fixed – 30k capacity Revision 3 Control boards not allowing more than 8000 fingerprints to be enrolled via Net2.

ievo REV4 Control board and Head Unit firmware update V0.2.33

 

Our latest update improves stability and corrects some outstanding bugs.

Below is a list of improvements and additions:

 

  • Tamper signal will only be sent after wiegand has been set

Paxton Net2 release version 5.03.04SR2 with REV 4 integration.

 

Paxton have released (17/12/2015) the latest patch notes for Paxton Net2 software (v5.03.04SR2 ), which updates the software, allowing for a deeper and smoother integration with ievo biometric readers.

 

Below is a list of all the updates applied in version 5.03.04SR2 of the Paxton Net2 software regarding ievo integration:

 

  • Addressed – Deleting finger prints from Net2 does not delete the fingerprint from ievo
  • Addressed – Delay in adding users to ievo via Net2 client
  • Addressed – Adding/Deleting multiple fingerprints fails to update correctly
  • Addressed – Intermittent access for users added via a Revision 4 ievo reader
  • Addressed – Deleting department containing users will not remove fingerprints from ievo readers
  • Addressed – Deleting/adding a user only propagates to one of two ievo readers (Revision 4)
  • Addressed – Desktop reader stops responding once you save fingerprint
  • Addressed – Fingerprint enrolled via Net2 is missing from Net2 templates
  • Addressed – Fingerprint image does not appear
  • Addressed – Fingerprint reader takes 20+ seconds light up when adding fingerprint
  • Addressed – Inconsistent fingerprint scanning
  • Addressed – Incorrect spelling of “successfully” during fingerprint enrolment
  • Addressed – ievo (version 5) desktop reader does not work with Net2
  • Addressed – Will save fingerprint after first image
