Understanding Nortech Access Control Integration with ievo

21 Aug Understanding Nortech Access Control Integration with ievo

Whether you are currently using the Nortech system and require a security upgrade, or you are new to access control technology, ievo Ltd has been seamlessly integrated into Nortech’s innovative Norpass solution. ievo Ltd is the only biometric to be completely embedded into Norpass, boasting a simple transition between databases and ease of use.

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?

As ievo technology scans your fingerprint, Norpass grants access to the secured door. The management of fingerprints couldn’t be easier. The registration and management of fingerprints are carried out through the Norpass user-friendly card management screen. One simple task both enrols the user and registers the fingerprint. This dramatically saves time when adding and controlling users on the system, both at the point of registration and in the future if users need to be removed or changed.

ACCURATE HIGH-SECURITY MONITORING – IDEAL FOR RESOLVING DISPUTES

Nortech’s Norpass and ievo Ltd biometrics accurately track personnel movement and contractor attendance to resolve disputes. The system can be used to control barriers, turnstiles, gates or any multiple entry/exit point.

“The system is good. It is great for looking at productivity and disputes over resource” Chris Edmonds, Site Manager CHFW Phase 2, Interserve Construction Limited.

BIOMETRICS SECURE VEHICLE ACCESS CONTROL

Providing high security with minimum disruption can be problematic, ievo fingerprint readers managed by Norpass was the ideal choice for APT Controls when having to secure vehicle entry and exit for a major UK airport.

“We created a secure airlock for the customer by utilising an APT Executive barrier and two APT50A Bollards controlled by ievo biometric readers and Nortech’s control system. Exit from the site was controlled by another set of bollards, managed via an additional ievo reader. This provided the airport with an effective yet high-security vehicle entry and exit point.” Chris Rowlands, Managing Director, APT Security Systems
